The Boone Society is a non-profit organization made up of over 350 Boone descendants in thirty nine states and three foreign countries. Our mission statement is: “Preserving America’s Frontier History through Education.” Every project in which the Society is involved is chosen for the purpose of educating the citizens of this great country on the history of America’s early frontier.
We greatly appreciate and admire the contributions that Witnessing History has made, and continues to make, for that same cause. Its films and educational tools are the insurance that all of American history will be protected and preserved for generations to come. Your recent move to make films on the history of America available to the public at no charge will have a great impact on introducing our citizens to the remarkable history of our country. It is a noble deed for sure.
America’s Frontier History is in danger of disappearing from public eye. It is so important that a society understand their founding and the prices their ancestors paid for it. Few people today know anything about the history of America, not to mention the history of the early frontier. The Boone family faced grave danger as Daniel led several thousand settlers out of the colonies into the wilderness of Kentucky. He lost two sons, a brother and a brother-in-law in his quest to settle the frontier. His efforts, however, helped create the great nation we have today.
Kent Masterson Brown, our missions are in “lock step,” and we will promote your films and tireless efforts as you wish. If there’s anything we may do to assist you, please call on us. We pray God speed for you and the Witnessing History Education Foundation, Inc. in all your endeavors.
