Neil is a Kentuckian; he was born in Louisville and raised in Fern Creek, a small community in south eastern Jefferson County. As a graduate of Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Neil received his degree in Dentistry from the University of Kentucky in 1977. Since that time, he has been in private practice in Cynthiana, Kentucky. The focus of his professional practice is Family Dentistry with an emphasis on Primary Care.
Neil is active in, and a member of, several volunteer organizations in Cynthiana and Lexington. He is a member and officer of the Cynthiana Presbyterian Church, a member of the Inquisitors Club, the Kentucky Civil War Roundtable, the volunteer faculty of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, and the local advisory board to the Boyd’s Station Project. He is also on the Board of Harrison County Educational Foundation and the Executive Board of the Blue Grass Dental Society.
Neil shares a love of History with his brothers, and together they have been on many of the Witnessing History Tours. Neil has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Witnessing History Foundation, Inc. since 2017. Neil accompanies Kent Masterson Brown on all of the battlefield tours as an assistant and aide; he also accompanies him as an assistant and aide for filming session for all of Witnessing History’s film productions.
